Bob Tate

CEO

Bob started his career in concrete at 8 years old, helping his mother and sister pour a foundation on a house that he and his family were building in the South hills of Eugene. Wayne (Bob's Father) showed up in time to help after he got off from his teaching job. This was just one of many family homes and summer projects the Tate's built over the years in Eugene. Wayne instilled quality and value into Bob. They re-used the form lumber for framing and Bob was also responsible for dragging a magnet over the jobsites to collect the duplex nails and straighten them for re-use. The family was "Green" before green was "IN". Even today, Bob's youngest daughter has the coffee cans full of nails, screws and misc salvaged items in her garage and uses them often. After graduating from South Eugene High School and 2 years at Lane Community College, Bob married his high school sweetheart Sharon. Bob, Sharon and their 3 children returned from a 4 year stint in Texas after the recession of '81 to start homebuilding in Eugene. Unable to compete in homebuilding due to his attention to detail and trying to give his owners the value they deserved. Bob looked at his sub-contractors and he saw that the concrete contractors had the nicest trucks, so he started the journey. Bob started small with house foundations, driveways and walks. Over the years he grew from himself and one helper (now a son in-law) to over 40 full time employees of Dynasty Concrete. Able to take on simple house foundations to large box stores and even multi-level post tension structures.
